Winner of First prize at the Pavel Lisitian & Tatevik Sazandaryan National Voice Competition (Armenia) and at Lez Azuriales International Singing Competition (France), Armenian bass- baritone Arshak Kuzikyan studied singing at the Yerevan State Conservatory, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Wales International Academy of Voice, under the tutelage of renowned singer Dennis O’Neill.

Recipient of the Independent Opera Postgraduate Voice Fellowship 2015 from Sadler’s Wells, Arshak is a Samling artist and a Georg Solti Foundation scholarship holder. He made his Wigmore Hall debut singing at the Samling Showcase in 2015. Masterclasses include with Angela Gheorghiu, Renata Scotto, Juan Pons, Richard Bonynge, Sir Thomas Allen and Malcom Martineau.

His wider engagements have included Dulcamara, L’elisir d’amore (International Opera Studio Gijon, Spain), Colline, La Boheme (International Opera Studio Gijon, Spain), Sir. John Falstaff, Sir John in love (RCS), Leporello, Don Giovanni (Armenian Opera Theatre), Publio, La clemenza di Tito, (RCS)  Figaro, Le nozze di Figaro (Trentino music festival, Italy and RCS).

Current engagements include Arshak’s professional debut in Italy singing Dulcamara L’elisir d’amore in Florence and joining the Solti Accademia in Venice at the repetiteur’s master course concert.
